This position is responsible for database and ETL application analysis, design, development, modification, implementation, and support. Additionally, this position is responsible for data modeling design and implementation. This position will need experience with the database and ETL tools in use at ACES including Oracle database, SQL Server database, and SQL Server Integration Services. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a stable and functional database and ETL application environment by working with external vendors, external support staff, and ACES staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related degree.
• Three or more years of SQL application development and implementation experience.
• Three or more years of ETL application development and implementation experience.
• Three or more years of data modeling and database design experience.
• Experience with SQL language development on both Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
• Customer service orientation.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• SQL Server or Oracle administration experience a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support internal and vendor applications. Works closely with the vendors and other IT support personnel to coordinate enhancements and implementation of new releases.
• Analyze, develop, test, implement, and support SQL applications and enhancements as required to support the growing and changing needs of ACES.
• Develop data models to meet storage and data quality needs.
• Reports progress of assigned work to direct manager on an ongoing basis.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and toolsets.
• Provides technical assistance and guidance to other SQL Developers as needed.
• Aids in ensuring IT projects are delivered as budgeted and scheduled.
• Provides 24 hours a day / 7 days a week on-call support. This will be rotated among the Software Engineers and SQL Developers.
• Effectively work in a high stress, highly productive and rapidly changing environment.
• Ensure 100% compliance with SOC 1 requirements and IS policies and procedures
• Will adhere to all ACES corporate policies and comply with all ACES regulatory requirements, including but not limited to NERC, FERC, and relevant state regulations, as applicable to this position.
• Any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
